While we continue to wait for Flash to arrive on the iPhone, Android phone users will be happy to know that Adobe Flash is headed their way courtesy of BSQAURE.
BSQUARE has just announced that they are porting Adobe Flash to the Android phone in behalf of an unnamed “global Tier 1 carrier.” It’s still not quite clear if the feature will be limited to the services of the mentioned carrier, but for now, this is all the information we have on the matter. As far as credibility of BSQUARE is concerned in this endeavor, their experience doing Android work for various clients and considering that they’ve been running NEC’s Adobe Flash Technology Consulting and Distribution business which they bought a year ago should be more than enough reason to believe that they’re more than capable to take on this task.
When it will exactly become available was not mentioned, but one thing is for sure, the race for Flash availability is definitely on between the iPhone and Android phone.
