The follow-up to the LG Rumor, aptly named the Rumor 2, is now official and will be available on Sprint starting March 15.
Apart from the QVGA display, the LG Rumor 2 doesn’t really offer much in terms of new features. It still comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera and the familiar side-ways slide-out QWERTY keypad. It does, however, feature an additional row of keys for better ergonomics and faster text input. The back plate is removable so you can swap it out with either the Black Titanium or Vibrant Blue rear covers which are included in the package.
The Sprint LG Rumor 2 is priced at $49.99 with a contract and is expected to become available in all Sprint retail stores by April 19th.
Update: AllTell is apparently also offering the LG Rumor 2 albeit with a slightly different design and a different name, the LG Banter. They’ve already listed it on their website and it’s scheduled to go on sale today.
