We’re not quite sure what the underlying arrangements were between Asus and Garmin when they entered into their new partnership, but as far as what the current news is reporting, their alliance meant the dropping of the P565 altogether. According to GPSandCo, this handset should have debuted last month in France, but it seems it won’t ever see the light of day in store shelves anymore.
Ironically, the P835 managed to get officially unveiled. We don’t know what makes this extra special so as not to be canned as a result of the Garmin-Asus partnership, but what we do know is that it comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, 5-megapixel autofocus camera, tri-band HSDPA connectivity of up to 7.2Mbps, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, WiFi, A-GPS, and 4GB of internal memory expandable via microSDHC card.
No exact release date or pricing details were disclosed at the moment, but we’re guessing it’ll be available in stores before the first half of the year comes to a close.
