Visa announced today that they will begin testing the use of mobile phones to make credit card purchases. The testing will be done with NTT DoCoMo at large shopping centers in Japan. (Nokia and Mastercard announced similar testing last May.)
Long touted as the next “killer application”, mobile phone payments allow consumers to pay for food, tickets, gas, and other goods without having to use a credit card.
