If this rumor holds true, you can say goodbye to a completely new Acer smartphone debuting at the World Mobile Congress.

The latest news from the grapevine is that Acer will only be unveiling a re-branded version of the E-Ten Glofiish DX900. E-Ten was acquired by Acer, and it seems that they will now be cashing in on their expertise. However, instead of outing a completely new mobile device, they’ll just be re-launching an already existing phone under the Acer brand. The DX900 comes with a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera, dual-SIM support, GPS, and Windows Mobile 6.1 as its OS. It's a pretty decent phone, but surely, nothing compares to a completely new device being unveiled to the public.

Of course, this is still just a rumor so there is the slightest chance of a brand new smartphone taking center stage for Acer at the World Mobile Congress. Still no word on what Dell might be offering, but Toshiba’s TG01 phone looks to be quite a tempting offer from the other PC-maker/mobile phone manufacturer in the industry.
