While Nokia may have come out with their best smartphone to date with the E71 last year, a considerable number of would-be buyers were turned off due to the lack BlackBerry support. Nokia discontinued support for BlackBerry Connect solutions last year which basically shut out a segment of the market who needed such connectivity features.

Well, here’s some good news for you concerned individuals out there. RIM is working on a solution that will eventually pave the way for the return of BlackBerry Connect on Nokia phones. This was mentioned by Tom Furlong, head of Nokia Messaging, in a “>Reuters report. When will this major comeback become available is still yet to be known, but nonetheless, this is definitely good news for Nokia-loving consumers out there in dire need of BlackBerry support on their phones.

Let’s just hope that things don’t go sour and RIM totally bails on their promise. Besides, Nokia stands to lose the most if this doesn’t push through. Anyway, let’s just be optimistic and hope for the best.
