NTT DoCoMo makes Fujitsu F905i available outside Japan

Here’s something you don’t usually come across very often; an NTT DoCoMo phone available outside Japan. The Fujitsu F905i is a clamshell with a swivel 3.2-inch WVGA display, 3.2-megapixel camera, and more importantly, it is the first NTT DoCoMo phone to be officially launched in a country other than Japan.

However, don’t get too excited just yet at the prospects of this hitting the US or Canada anytime soon as it will only be released to the neighboring Asian country Taiwan. Far EasTone is the telecom and because they are a “strategic partner” of NTT DoCoMo, they’ve been blessed with one of their exclusive phones.

Say what you will, but we’re still hoping (probably against all odds) that one day Japanese phones will join the international mobile phone scene. With phones like the Fujitsu F905i, we have no doubt that if that ever happens they will have a decent following of their own.
