With all the craziness that happened last week at CES, we forgot to mention the two new Sony Ericsson phones that have been officially announced.

Out of its rumored state, the Sony Ericsson C510a Cybershot shot phone is now official. It comes with a 2.2-inch 240×320 262K TFT display, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, tri-band 3G, FM radio with RDS, 100MB internal memory, support for Memory Stick Micro media cards, a fron-facing camera for video calls, and a 3.2-megapixel camera with shutter smile and other imaging functions. It’ll be available in the 1Q of 2009 in Future Black and Radiation Silver colored variants with a yet to be determined price.

Meanwhile, the W508a Walkman phone is a new sleek clamshell phone that will definitely be a welcome addition to the music-centric mobile phone line of Sony Ericsson. It comes with a similar sized display, megapixel camera rating, secondary front camera, internal memory capacity, Memory Stick Micro support, and network compatibility as that of the C510a but ups the ante in terms of music functionality with a Walkman player with Mega Bass, PlayNow, TrackID, SensMe and Shake Control. It also comes with Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support and will be available in Metal Grey and Poetic White iterations with eight interchangeable face plates. Q2 is its target release with its price also yet to be known.

With very little to offer in terms of groundbreaking features, these two new handsets definitely don’t hold back in terms of style points. Provided they’re priced just right, I can see these two becoming future classics in the market.
