TruPhone App to support Skype, Twitter, IM services

Still remember that Truphone app we mentioned a while back that allows you to make calls using your iPod Touch? Well, it’s getting some added functionality as the company has announced that they will be including Skype, Twitter and IM services to their little VoIP app.

Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger and Google Talk are some of the confirmed IM services that this new TruPhone iteration will support, but we’re optimistic that this list will continue to grow as the months go by. This new version is expected to hit the App Store starting January 12th, and in case you still didn’t know, there’s also a version for the iPhone.

With the way things are going, it certainly looks like TruPhone is shaping up to become a truly versatile VoIP and IM application. We’re definitely looking forward to more features and innovations down the road.
