Aside from making calls and surfing the internet, you can now also use the T-Mobile G1 as an external keyboard and mouse that you can pair up with your laptop thanks to the RemoteDroid app.
We’re not quite sure who in their right mind would trade-in the easy-to-use keyboard of their laptop for the smaller G1 keypad, but the mouse option looks quite useful especially for a netbook. You can use either the trackball of the G1 or the entire touchscreen complete with virtual left and right buttons as your input method of choice.
Here’s a video below showing off the RemoteDroid app in action:
The RemoteAndroid app for the G1 can be downloaded from the Google Marketplace, while the corresponding app which you’ll need to install on your Windows/Mac/Linux-based computer can be found at their website. Unfortunately, since the G1 or Android phone is hardly available anywhere else except the US for the time being, I doubt that this bit of news will be of interest to the majority.
