We’re hoping that this won’t be the new trend in 2009, but apparently, the LG GD910 isn’t the only watch phone making headlines now.
US-based Phenom Communications has just launched their new offering aptly named the Phenom Watch Phone. While it does look a lot more stunning than the LG GD910 in terms of aesthetics and design, its feature set is a bit underwhelming. It comes with a 1.3-inch TFT touchscreen display, Bluetooth, speakerphone functionality and microSD card support of up to 2GB in capacity. Nothing really outstanding about it except that it comes in a wristwatch form factor and when compared with the GD910, it looks unimpressive.
Anyway, one thing going for the Phenom is that it’s apparently available already through their website with a starting price of $195. As far as the LG GD910 is concerned, we’ll have to wait for CES to arrive to know more about its price and availability.
