As the year comes to a close, Samsung is set to refresh their existing line-up, and first on their list is the S8300 which will replace their current flagship phone, the Soul U900.
While the Samsung S8300 may look a lot less flashy than its predecessor, it does, however, boast the same anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint coated duraluminum chassis used in the Soul. As far as features go, the S8300 ups the ante with the inclusion a 2.8-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, 8-megapixel CCD camera with autofocus, optical joystick and 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity. Now that’s definitely an improvement from the Soul U900.
It’s not confirmed yet as to when it will be launched, but if it isn’t featured at CES next month, look for it to make a big splash at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this February. Price and availability are obviously not yet available.
