Bringing the touchscreen phone generation to the next level, LG tries to break free from the norm with their GD910 wristwatch phone.
It’s set to make a grand debut in CES 2009 next month similar to what they did last year. However, unlike other wristwatch phones introduced in the past, this one looks to be promising. The GD910 comes with a 1.43-inch full touchscreen LCD display, voice dialing with speech recognition, text to speech feature, front-facing camera, Bluetooth and 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity. That’s definitely an impressive spec sheet for a wristwatch phone. With its quirky and truly unique form factor, the LG GD910 wristwatch phone surely isn’t meant for everyone but it will surely appeal to the James Bond at heart.
Those interested in getting this truly unique mobile will have to wait a little longer as details regarding its availability and price have yet to be revealed. So far, we know it’s going to hit the European market first, but as to when is still anybody’s guess. Anyway, CES is just a couple of weeks away so the wait won’t be that long.
