The touchscreen-enabled Nokia 6208 which also comes with an alphanumeric keypad has finally gone live on Nokia’s website albeit being in China only.
All of the features we previously reported were spot on, but it seems that it doesn’t come with the regular touchscreen display we’ve come to expect with new phones today. Based on the specs given on the website, input is provided through the alphanumeric keypad and handwriting input which more or less means the touchscreen display is limited to stylus input. It’s not quite what we were hoping for, but with the rest of its underwhelming features, I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise anymore.
While availability was not mentioned on the website, Unwired View says that it will be released China (of course), Taiwan, India, the Middle East, and more importantly, North America. The exact date and price, however, were not disclosed, but we’ll probably hear more about it once it passes through the FCC.
