Samsung Pixon headed for US with AT&T 3G connectivity

The Samsung Pixon may indeed be headed for the US, but based on the latest news, it looks like it’ll be available on AT&T as opposed to T-Mobile.

The FCC has confirmed that this 8-megapixel camera phone from Samsung is on its way to the US market, and it’ll be renamed as the M8800L. More importantly, it will come with 850 and 1900 MHz WCDMA 3G connectivity which suggests an AT&T release. Even though this latest info is a good indication of a debut on AT&T, we’re still treating this as speculation since we’ve yet to receive confirmation from the horse’s mouth.

If they do manage to push this phone through, my next question will be whether or not Rogers will also offer up the Samsung M8800L in Canada. One can only hope, but we see no reason why they shouldn’t considering its a rather reputable model.
