iRiver debuts Wave phone in Korea

It seems that the mobile phone industry is indeed a lucrative business as more companies are looking join the industry. The latest company to hop on board is iRiver with their pioneering model, the Wave phone.

The Wave comes with a 3-inch 480×272 touchscreen display, WiFi, FM radio and 4GB internal memory with support for miniSD cards. It apparently doesn’t come with a camera nor Bluetooth capabilities as neither of the two have been mentioned. It’ll be offered in just ten iRiver stores in Korea with no certainty if it will be made available globally. Its price is also yet to be disclosed. For more pictures, head on over to Aving.

Being a new player in the industry, the iRiver Wave is a bit underwhelming despite its interesting form factor. Anyway, since it looks like the Wave will only be made available in Korea, we’re hoping that the company has something better lined up for the international circuit.

I cannot wait to hear the actual price of this and if it’s going to come to NA.
:P It looks very comfortable to hold in the hand.
