The Panel Interface that’s one of the key features in the soon-to-be-released Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 may just be headed to a Windows Mobile-running device near you. That’s what Sony Ericsson’s Ramanath Bhat hinted at and if true, that is indeed a most welcome development that everyone will surely appreciate. Not only will XPERIA X1 users enjoy the Panel Interface, but the rest of the Windows Mobile-using community as well. This will also be good news for developers as they will be able to make their apps available across more devices.

Hopefully this is not just some huge misunderstanding and it holds true. If it does, who knows, maybe HTC will then decide to open up their Touch FLO 3D interface to others as well, but I guess that’s a little far off the bend, don’t you think? Let’s just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.
