Sony Ericsson has finally released a more definitive launch date for the XPERIA X1 in certain regions across the globe. Unfortunately, North Amercia is not one of them. Below is the list of countries who will be fortunate enough to be receiving the XPERIA X1 as early as September 30, 2008:
APAC
- Indonesia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam
Western Europe
- Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Portugal
Central Europe
- Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic
Middle East
- UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait
Africa
- South Africa
Latin America
- Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia
Those countries not listed, including Canada and the US, will have their launch dates announced at a later time. Well, this is sort of good news since it basically means that the ball is rolling as far as the release of the XPERIA X1 is concerned. What we’re concerned about is the use of the non-specific later time clause mentioned. Hopefully, that won’t be later than Q4 of 2008.
