Sony Ericsson mulling Unlimited Music Download offer

Sony Ericsson, one of the closest rivals of Nokia in the biz, is reportedly planning to launch an unlimited music download service which will rival the Comes with Music offering of their Finnish counterparts in Europe. If Nokia has chosen to bundle their service with the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic phone, Sony Ericsson is planning to offer theirs alongside their Walkman series of phones. The official announcement will hopefully be made this month and will initially be offered in Europe before Christmas and the rest of the world thereafter.

Sony Ericsson currently has an existing mobile download service with around 5 million DRM-free songs at their disposal. With that massive collection, they may give Nokia a serious run for their money as far as the music download scene is concerned.
