Software maker Qik has recently released new versions of their video-streaming app for the iPhone that are compatible with the HTC Touch Dual, Touch Diamond, TyTN II, AT&T Tilt, and the yet to be released Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1. I’ve already wrote about this app before and, as opposed to the iPhone wherein you had to jailbreak it first to install this piece of software, it’ll be much easier this time around on these new supported devices since no jailbreaking is required. You do, however, still need to sign up for a free account first, but that’s probably the most tedious part of the whole process. Their current crop already supports a number of Nokia’s and a couple of Samsung phones as well. For a complete list of compatible phones, you can check it out here.
While the app itself doesn’t cost a thing, it requires a lot of data communication usage which might suck the life out of your data plan, but hey; if money isn’t an issue, then have loads of fun with this nifty little app.
