Projector Phone is unique, Design is not

We’re always on the look out for the latest technology when it comes to mobile phones. While we appreciate the innovation, we do, however, still prefer that the phones be original when it comes to design.

Take, for example, the case of the Epoq EGP-PP01 KIRF phone from China King. It’s the first mobile phone equipped with a built-in projector that’ll allow you to broadcast a 30-inch VGA-quality image on a flat surface for roughly 2 hours. Yeah, the projector functionality is truly unique, but the design is nonetheless uninspiring. From a distance, it looks like a Nokia N77, and the OS is nothing but a rip-off of the iPhone interface. With the exception of the projector functionality, this phone has nothing original to offer.

Nevertheless, we’ve got to give credit where credit is due, and that’s for being able to release the first ever mobile projector phone. However, with a hefty price of $550 and a not-so-unique design, I highly doubt they’ll be able to convince anyone in their right mind to consider getting this one.
