While our gut instinct tells us that this one’s pretty much a fake, there’s still that little voice that is saying there’s something more to this than meets the eye.
The 01Phone pretty much looks every bit of the part of a concept device, especially when you take into account its use of an infra-red keyboard which totally takes a different route into providing a full QWERTY keypad experience; but what if it’s not a fake? That would totally be sweet no? Add to the mix a 32GB storage capacity, 5-megapixel camera, and 3G connectivity; it’s got what it takes to battle it out with the likes of the iPhone and HTC Touch Pro. That is, of course, if it’s real.
Well, according to their website, we’ve got 26 days left to find out what the ruckus is all about. We’ll keep you guys posted as things unfold in the coming days.

Concept! I was really intrigued by the design and concept but looked into the registrant for the http://www.the01phone.com (thinking it might be the new android G1/Dream phone). It happens to be registered to a Michael Brook of ‘Future Publishing’ a magazine publisher in the UK…for what it’s worth.
