Those loyal Blackberry users who have been waiting for the Bold to come out may be a little disappointed with the hefty $399 price tag Rogers has pegged on it, especially when you compare it to the iPhone.
Some might rationalize that the Blackberry Bold is better and more feature-packed than the 3G iPhone; but in the highly competitive world of mobile phones, the right pricing and packaging can make all the difference in the world. It also doesn’t help that more and more program developers are turning towards the iPhone as a platform for their apps as opposed to the outdated Blackberry OS.
Needless to say, if the Bold debuted with a lower price, it would have enticed customers to consider it as opposed to its Apple counterpart. As a consolation, at least the price is not overly bloated as the case is in Chile which is close to $600; but if you really want a good deal, you might want to head on over to the Netherlands where they’re giving it away for free with contract.

Good god….screw that. Blackberry’s arnt even that great!
Its the same every time. Bring out a new phone and then sting everybody for wanting it. There should be a maximum allowable profit to protect us.
