Apple has today opened the Application (App) Store for iPhone users. They have 500 applications ready for download, a very high number considering that the Cupertino company announced only 200 would be available by launch date. A good fraction of these apps will be free.
Definitely among the most awaited iPhone features, the third-party apps at the App Store should become an effective way for Apple, Inc. to boost revenues. For iPhone users, this of course means they will have to dig deeper in their pockets.
