The much-anticipated BlackBerry Thunder, RIM’s first touch screen phone, has surfaced in the Interwebs. The UI indicates how much RIM will focus on multimedia. Portrait view is also supported it looks like. Will it be an iPhone killer? Who knows. But considering that Crackberry is alive and well after a year of iPhone, it’s not a far-fetched idea.

Hi Brian:
Looks VERY COOL! It will be interesting to see how the corporate crowd goes for this. Will you need an unlimited plan to do this? Who will bear the cost if you do not have an unlimited plan? Can you tap into a hosted Exchange account (http://www.123together.com/blackberry-special/index.xhtml for reference)?
No info yet from the wireless provider. I’m not sure if you mean the price of the mobile unit. Multimedia phones are always pricey and considering BlackBerrys are high-end handsets, this should fetch a hefty sum even with a contract. RIM should make this competitive with iPhone, though, and I heard the virtual keypad is awesome.
i want it already, it sucks that t-mobile is not offering it they had that option but they are going to loose alot. im about to switch to verizon just for this phone. i have the blackberry 8800 and its great but a touch phone is what i have been waiting for
