The BB Bold is the most exciting handset RIM has released in recent memory. The Pearl (8100) was okay and had a nice form factor but is a lightweight compared to the WiFi- and HSDPA-connected Bold. Sure, we were disappointed when it turned out that BB 9000 was not a touch screen. Pundits have been talking about iPhone killer, they’re all touchscreen and fall short in features. The BlackBerry Bold, in my opinion, is the real iPhone killer. All the features you could possibly want, a nice palm-fitting form factor and a nifty GUI. The most usable phone in the market – BlackBerry Bold.

I’ll tell you why this video doesn’t impress me (yet) with regards to the BOLD. This video demonstrates the phones UI which seems very fast and fluid, but in almost 90% of the cases, when it comes to commercials, UI’s are always sped up and made to seem more fluid than they really are. The exception was the iPhone. The first time I saw the commercial I was convinced it was sped up or faked, until I got to use one for myself and doubted it no more. I’ve used blackberries before and they’ve never looked like the bold. Once it comes out and I get a chance to use it, maybe I won’t doubt IT anymore either.
