Official Price for Sprint Instinct Announced

Sprint instinct 19999Sprint will match Apple’s iPhone 3G pricing with a similar $199.99 pricing (after rebate and a 2-year contract) for the Samsung Instinct. Sprint is put in a corner with the cheap iPhone price, which now has 3G and GPS like Instinct.

The iPhone/ Instinct rivalry has also been made official by Walter Mossberg, who reviewed the Instinct today at the WSJ. It’s perhaps important to note that though Mossberg wasn’t too impressed with the instinct as an “iPhone clone,” he did point out that the removable battery might bring some customers to Sprint instead of AT&T. Voice command and mobile TV are also strong points for the Instinct. Anyone thinks Instinct has a chance?
