Nokia reminds us all, especially users in CDMA territories that a cellphone is still, in essence, a device to make or receive calls. With the 1508, you get exactly that and texting, of course. The 1508 is very lightweight and has the form factor that cellphone users around the world will be very familiar with. It’s no original and in fact takes its design inspiration from Nokia’s 1100, the most popular cellphone model ever. Though no one expects the 1508 to sell 200 million units, this CDMA phone should have broad appeal. It’s coming in the 3rd quarter of this year.
