I’m curious as to whether the iPhone will capture the hearts and minds of the Japanese. Do the Japanese really need FeliCA, SuiCa, QWERTY keyboards and 1-SEG to make it worthwhile to purchase an iPhones Or will be be something simple that it’s just a cool product to own and very simple to use. No SMS and MMS yet, but firmware 2.0 should take care of that. Same with Japanese input. I’d think Kotoeri input on an iPhone would be adequate, but I’m not Japanese. I’d sure love the iPhone to be a hit in Japan, but they might be a tough nut to crack.
