Apple Goes After iPhone Clone Retailer

Apple Sues HiPhone Retailer

Apple is finally doing something about iPhone clones starting with a small time retailer of HiPhones in Europe. The notice, in Italian, sent to an individual selling HiPhones on eBay and on a land-based store indicates an amount of 25,000 euros (apparently per phone) as penalty and, in addition, $15,000 euros in lawyer fees.

It’s one small step to keep iPhone’s original design (?) the sole property of Apple. Interestingly, Apple also demanded the destruction of all unsold phones and proof of this action be sent to them.
