Foxconn Remains iPhone Contractor

Foxconn gets 3 million 3g iphoneFoxconn has maintained its leadership among Chinese manufacturing contractor getting a 3 million-unit order of iPhone 3G from Apple. This is according to Commercial Times of China. Aso known as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., it has built a small modern city in Shenzhen, China, from Apple Inc. money. The first wave of iPhone 3G is supposed to be due May. Hon Hai will have made up to 25 million units before the 3G version iPhone will reach end-of-life, according to the news source.

That’s a lot of iPhones and it should be more than enough to send fund Hon Hai’s 270,000 workers retirement benefits. At least we hope so.
