iPhone Has MMS on latest Apple Patent

MMS is the least exciting news from this new patent filed by Apple. The patent mentioned “graphics, photos, audio files, video files and/or other attachments as are supported in a MMS and/or Enhanced Message Service,” which can also mean an IM service supporting multimedia file transfers. Even more interesting is that IM could operate in the background while an iPhone user has another application turned on. If you’ve always wondered where all that OS X potential is going, this is just a foretaste. Multitasking will always be problematic on a small device but Apple may just have found a way to cram all the simultaneous functions in. GPS functionality is great on any phone but what about video conferencing?
