O2 just got the nod from Apple to distribute the iPhone in Ireland beginning March 12. It remains to see whether the iPhone will be receive the same hyped-up reception that U.S. iPhone did. To tell the truth, iPhone Europe was pretty lackluster and the Irish are not exactly known to be big spenders on tech.
This is waht O2 will be offering iPhone subscribers: 8GB model for €399 (US$600) and a 16GB model for €499 (US$750). Subscribers could buy their iPhones from Carphone Warehouse or O2 stores. There will be three tariffs on offer starting from €45 for 175 minutes to €100 for 700 minutes. These include anytime minutes, text and 1GB of data.
