The cellphone of the future, if the world’s number handset manufacturer gets its way, will be made of flexible materials, self-cleaning and absorbs solar power efficiently. This is Nokia Morph, Nokia’s concept phone of the future that will be injected with the latest in nanotechnology. Nokia will not be alone in the research, and they’ll have very good help from the Cambridge Nanoscience Centre. A phone that you can wrap on your wrist or straighten out into a tablet PC may be many years and even decades ahead, but Nokia think nanotech will be used on their phones as early as seven years from now.
The great thing about Nokia is that it is trying to advance technology all the time. The bad news is, some other phone company can pull the technology rug from under it by doing it more practically.
