When I look at Nokia’s newly introduced N78, I cannot help but compare it to the N73. Though Nokia does not say it, this is the logical successor of the N73. It is not merely that the N78 also has a 3.2 MP Car Zeis lens. The form factor and price range suggest that the N78 will go for the same market as the N73.
N78 is a product of the same design school as the N82. With one big difference. The slim buttons on the N82 is replaced with four parallel lines. I am not totally sure how these buttons work. In fact, the control section of the front is a mystery what with that button on the right of the directional pad and the icons on the flat surfaces that suggest touch-sensitivity. Hm. Anyway, this S60 smart phone phone, unlike, the N73, offers more than just a 3.2 MP camera, it also has A-GPS and that sought-after HSDPA connectivity. MSRP is $507.
