Samsung Soul Launched

Samsung SouldThe Samsung Soul is latest in the Ultra line of handsets. It doesn’t look like it but Soul (Spirit of Ultra) marks the end of the Samsung Ultra Phones. This came as a surprise to this blogger because I’ve always imagined the Ultra line as an indirect rival of the Nseries phone and I assumed Samsung was just starting.

The Soul reminds me of the Nokia 6500 Slider, with the similar brushed metal exterior and a form factor that is unmistakably fashionable. The look understates what this phone is capable of: 5 MP camera, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, and an innovtion called Magical Touch by DaCP where the keypad indicators change according to the users needs.

The Soul will be formally announced at the Mobile World Congress.
