The Samsung G800 wasn’t much of a rival to the Nokia N95 so Samsung went on ahead and made its successor, the G810. As a camera phone, the G810 boasts the same 5 megapixel lens with Xenon flash and 3X optical zoom. By any stretch of logic, this is the better camera phone. Samsung has added 3.6Mbps HSDPA, faster than the N95’s HSDPA. Is this enough to beat the N95?
The 150MB memory and lack of GPS should be the next features Samsung should be working on the G820 to truly compete with the N95. In the N95, Nokia has accomplished the ultimate all-in-one phone. With already a year in the market, it has remained unsurpassed in that category. The G810 is definitely the better camera phone, but so was the G800. The G810 will sell for 580 Euros.
