The Hitachi W61H must be the fanciest phone when it ships in Japan. It features a 2.7-inch E-Ink display with 95 pre-set designs available. Presumably, these are all black-and-white patterns dubbed Silhouette Screen. This is a clamshell phone with a 2.8-inch WQVGA screen. an almost 2-inch (1.97) MP camera and a 1-SEG TV tuner.
This is an interesting handset that may never be on Western hands (ever bought a Hitachi cellphone?) as it is, but it wouldn’t be so hard to imagine the E-Ink being utilized on a Motorola or Sony Ericsson handset.
