Here we go again. Word is that Steve Jobs is going to finally make the iPhone available for Canadians. The announcement will be made during the Keynote at MacWorld 2008. Rogers, Canada’s only GSM provider should be distributing the iPhone real soon, according to Bloomberg.
iPhone interest in Canada is just too much for Apple to ignore the country far longer, even though iPhones in Canada are bound to be pricier than the same device across the border. Of course, a January iPhone release in Canada has been rumored before.
Update: Nope. It wasn’t announced at MacWorld 2008.
Update: It’s official. A Rogers Apple iPhone is on the way!

I spoke to a manager of a major Canadian electronics store and he said he’s been informed by Rogers’ management that they’ll release the iPhone in Q1 2008. So, maybe not January perhaps, but we can hope for February or March.
