Apple will not be selling it’s iPhone to Chinese consumers. China Mobile, China’s largest network and the biggest mobile network in the world in subscriber base, found Apple’s demand too costly. Apple is unique among cell phone manufacturers in that it demands a share of the subscriber revenue from the distributor. According to the report, Apple wanted a 20% to 30% cut.
Apple has not commented on the development while China Mobile wasn’t much more talkative. China Mobile is known to have a subscriber base of 350 million. If Apple wants to sell iPhones in China it has to be for a lower price than what Americans and Europeans are paying.

Won’t comment on the ‘business’ part of Apple’s china foray but on the technology part if Apple can allow people to write Chinese characters on the iphone and text message them it will be a killer app. Of course for it to work the recipient must also own an iphone or similar device or a computer. Asians are crazy about text messaging, a device that can send Chinese (or Japanese, Korean characters etc. ) easily would be a winner. The iphone has to also substantially go down in price for china as the per capita income is still much lower than the U.S.
i want to know how match it cost the mobile apple if i want to buy it from china
and if it working in Egypt ?
