Lenovo is jumping not only in the cellphone business but in the NES emulation market in China. NES emulators are big in China and the market is growing, which is why Lenovo has priced its GSM phone very competitively at $164 unlocked. The phone is a sleek candybar in a delicate white-and-green color. For a GSM phone with a built-in 2MP camera and audio/video playback, that is cheap It’s even cheaper than you think, because your purchase will include a D-Pad, so you can really play NES games using this phone.
I wonder how the Chinese will take Nokia’s N-Gage with the popularity of NES emulators there, especially now that a company as respected as Lenovo has got into the “game.”
