Samsung F700 Verizon

It’s apparently been confirmed: The Samsung F700 is coming over to Verizon, the second largest carrier in the U.S. and AT&T’s biggest rival.

We remember putting the Samsung F700, which uses a touch screen Flash UI and is connected to HSDPA wireless broadband networks, to the number two position in our iPhone killers list. The phone also has a rea slide-out keypad for faster thumb typing.

Some bad news: the F700 at Verizon will be renamed to SCH-U940 and will be a CDMA/EvDo phone and we don’t know if it will use HSDPA at all. The onboard camera is a 3 MP down from 5 MP.

Interesting news Angelina. Looks like everyone’s gunning for the iphone. It’s really going to change the game. The one thing Verizon and AT&T are going to be really hurt by is Apple’s App store! For so long the two major carriers had it so good, nickel and diming their customers for every piece of wallpaper, every ringtone. With the App store, any iphon owner has instant access to virtual stadium of applications, many free.

Take that Verizon and AT&T~! :)
