The Wall Street Journal reports on the imminent and official announcement of the Google Phone. We are going to have official details of the GPhone in the next two weeks. The actual release date will be a little further off in the future, around the middle of 2008.
HTC and LG are pat of the design and production of Google Phones, so it’s not going to be Google designing the GPhone from scratch. The most interesting part of the news is that the GPhone will be “open” unlike iPhone. Chances are, developers are going to flock on the GPhone like flies, which, ultimately, will make for an interesting handset.
