The iPhone might be selling like hotcakes but as far in the smartphone category, Symbian still rules over all other smartphone OS, including OS X. Symbian recently introduced the new S60 OS with added support for touch control, now with finger as well as stylus input. The UI will also benefit from haptics technology, which gives tactile feedback to the user. This should be a very interesting development for Symbian as well as Symbian supporters like Nokia. Keeping abreast with Apple will not be easy but looking at the video, Symbian is doing it in style. By the way, older S60 users need not worry about compatibility issues.
