After announcing a price cut last September 5 (see our post of that day), iPhone sales have tripled according to analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray. Apple used to sell just 9,000 units steadily per day before the price cut; now they are selling 27,000 per day. Gene Munster added that this 300% sales increase will slow down to about 50%
Apple has not confirmed the figures yet. As for AT&T, with the unlocking softwares that has been made available, time will only tell if they are getting their share of the windfall from the iPhone.
