BBC is excited about its iPlayer, a software that will allow online viewers to view select BBC programs. BBC is saying it’s as big as the arrival of color TV. You get a program selection for content broadcast on BBC for the last 7 days. After you pay you get to keep it for 30 days. Don’t worry about deleting the files yourself. The DRM will do it for you automatically, leaving new space in your storage for more BBC programs.
BBC has rivals already entrenched in the mobile industry like 4OD and ITV. Right now the iPlayer only operates on XP and you have to use Internet Explorer 6 or higher. Soon, the iPlayer will also work for Mac OS and, hopefully, sync to your iPhone.
