The IM-U200 Shooting Star is Pantech’s entree to the fashion phone category. At $550, you only get the usual MP3 phone with bluetooth and an onboard 1.3 MP camera. The innovation here is how this clamshell opens up. It’s not a flip-phone but a slider, the top sliding upward to reveal the internal screen. It definitely has a futuristic feel to it, but $550? Maybe shave off a hundred bucks and it’ll be worth people’s consideration.
