Motorola is known for its fashion phones. Lately, though, it’s been sensing that fashion is not going to ensure a bright future for the cellphone manufacturer. Even after coming out with the video-centric Z8, Motorola still has some way to go to compete with the likes of the feature-rich Nokia Nseries and the iPhone, which is slated to debut in late June.
Having Kodak to help out Moto is one way of bridging the technology gap. This collaboration between Kodak and Moto is expected to come out during the holiday season. The 5 megapixel camera will have a CMOS chip, which will be released as a standalone device before the Kodak-Moto cameraphone takes the spotlight. Well, we’re happy for Moto, and it’s certainly one more high-end camera phone option for consumers.
