Fido Customers Can Now Roam In Peru

Microcell, owners of Fido, announced today they’ve signed an agreement which will allow Fido customers (with a “world phone”) to roam in the country of Peru. This extends Fido’s GSM network coverage to 100 countries.

Since 1997, Microcell has entered into overseas roaming agreements with GSM operators throughout South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and North America, and is among the top operators in the world that continue to expand international roaming coverage.

Since the beginning of 2001 alone, they’ve launched roaming service with carriers in Andorra, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bermuda, Botswana, Dominican Republic, Fiji, French Guiana, Guadeloupe (including St. Martin and Saint Barthélémy), Jamaica, Macedonia (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), Martinique, Peru, Qatar, Tajikistan, and Uganda.
