Before we begin composing dirges to wristwatches, look what Slashphone dug up.
References to Dick Tracy is too obvious to mention, but this is called the M300 from the oddly named SMS Technology. It’s a triband GSM with GPRS and it’s also got Bluetooth connectivity and an MP3 player., which makes it a true cellphone, only you wear it on your wrist and the display has the time as default.
Another clue as to this “watch phone”’s true identity is battery life. If you use it for calling, it’s got about 200 minutes of it. If left alone it runs up to 80hrs or less than 4 days before you have to recharge. Complete specs available here. It’s an Australian release and we don’t know if it’s going to be the next iPhone killer or what, but price is around $500 USD.
